Στο κάλεσμα του ΚΚ Βενεζουέλας για έκφραση διεθνιστικής αλληλεγγύης, η Κομμουνιστική Πρωτοβουλία Κύπρου εκφράζει τη σταθερή και αταλάντευτη διεθνιστική της αλληλεγγύη στο λαό της Βενεζουέλας, που βρίσκεται αντιμέτωπος με τις συνέπειες της ιμπεριαλιστικής επέμβασης των ΗΠΑ, των οικονομικών κυρώσεων και των ξένων παρεμβάσεων στις εσωτερικές υποθέσεις της χώρας του. Οι πιέσεις αυτές έχουν στόχο να υπονομεύσουν την κυριαρχία της Βενεζουέλας, να πλήξουν τα δικαιώματα του λαού της και να επιβάλουν τα συμφέροντα των μονοπωλίων και του αμερικάνικου ιμπεριαλισμού.
Ως λαός μιας χώρας που υπέστη και εξακολουθεί να υφίσταται τις τραγικές συνέπειες ιμπεριαλιστικών επεμβάσεων, της κατοχής και των ξένων επεμβάσεων, γνωρίζουμε από πρώτο χέρι τι σημαίνει να επιχειρούν να καθορίζουν οι ισχυροί τις τύχες ενός λαού. Η ιστορική πείρα του κυπριακού λαού μας ενώνει ακόμη περισσότερο με τους λαούς που αντιστέκονται στην επιβολή, στην καταπίεση και στην εκμετάλλευση.
Στεκόμαστε στο πλευρό των εργαζομένων, των λαϊκών στρωμάτων και των κομμουνιστών της Βενεζουέλας, στον αγώνα τους για ειρήνη και λαϊκή κυριαρχία. Καλούμε τις εργατικές και λαϊκές δυνάμεις στην Κύπρο και διεθνώς να δυναμώσουν την αλληλεγγύη απέναντι στον ιμπεριαλισμό και τις παρεμβάσεις που θέλουν να καθυποτάξουν λαούς και χώρες. Ο λαός της Βενεζουέλας είναι ο μόνος που δικαιούται να καθορίσει τις εξελίξεις στην πατρίδα του.
Ο προλεταριακός διεθνισμός και η αλληλεγγύη είναι όπλο των λαών και θα συνεχίσει να υψώνεται απέναντι στην αδικία, την καταπίεση και την ιμπεριαλιστική επιθετικότητα.
Solidarity with the people of Venezuela
Responding to the call of the Communist Party of Venezuela for the expression of internationalist solidarity, the Communist Initiative of Cyprus declares its firm and unwavering internationalist solidarity with the people of Venezuela, who are faced with the consequences of the imperialist intervention of the USA, economic sanctions, and foreign interference in the internal affairs of their country. These pressures aim to undermine Venezuela’s sovereignty, strike at the rights of its people, and impose the interests of the monopolies and American imperialism.
As the people of a country that has suffered, and continues to suffer, the tragic consequences of imperialist interventions, occupation, and continuous foreign interference, we know first-hand what it means for the powerful to attempt to determine the fate of a people. The historical experience of the Cypriot people unites us even more closely with peoples who resist imposition, oppression, and exploitation.
We stand with the workers, the popular strata, and the communists of Venezuela in their struggle for peace and popular sovereignty. We call on the working and popular forces in Cyprus and internationally, to strengthen solidarity against imperialism and the interventions that seek to subjugate peoples and countries. The people of Venezuela are the only ones entitled to determine developments in their homeland.
Proletarian internationalism and solidarity are weapons of the peoples and will continue to be employed against injustice, oppression, and imperialist aggression.
